Commission Process

I’m thrilled you’re considering an M.Augusta original! Here’s a step-by-step Guide to commissioning a painting.

The Process:

The first thing to do is decide the best size canvas for your custom project. My sizes are standard, starting at 11 x 14 up to 48 x 60. If you’re looking for a size outside of these dimensions, let me know in your request form - I love a challenge!

Commission Information Needed : 

  • Size + Subject

  • Reference Photo (if applicable)

  • Photo of space where painting will hang (if applicable)

Upon submission, I will reply in 2-3 business days with my understanding of what you’re looking for and a quote. If needed, we can set up a phone consultation for further clarification.

Paperwork + Payment :

After we’ve established a size, I’ll email a quote for you to approve as well as a scheduled completion date. Upon approval, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the quoted price is due in order to begin work on your piece unless other payment arrangements are made. The remaining is due before I deliver/ship the painting.

When the piece is completed, I will email you a photo for approval or to finalize any tweaks or changes that need to be made. Upon approval, I will varnish, paint the edges and wire the painting so that it’s ready to hang, unless otherwise noted..

Once I receive the remaining balance, I will send shipping information for the piece as well as the carrier’s estimated due date. Then, the piece is off to it’s forever home!

Unfortunately, returns and refunds are not an option. However, it’s important for me that you love your piece, and I will do all in my power to make that happen.
